How to spot and avoid phishing scams targeting your corporate card
We get it — you’re busy, inbox overflowing, calendar packed. But scammers are counting on exactly that. A split-second click on a suspicious link, or a rushed response to an urgent-sounding message, is all it takes for your sensitive data — and your company’s — to end up in the wrong hands.
Let’s break down how to stay one step ahead.
🚨 Common Scam Tactics You Should Know
Scammers are getting slicker, but knowing what to look for puts you back in control.
📧 Phishing Emails, texts, or social DMs that look legit — but aren’t. These often pretend to be from trusted companies or financial institutions, asking you to “confirm” your card details or enter a one-time passcode (OTP). Don’t fall for it.
📞 Vishing Phone scams where someone pretends to be from your bank, your IT team, or even us. The caller may sound convincing and apply pressure to act fast — that’s a red flag.
🎁 Pretexting "Congrats! You've won!" or "Your refund is ready!" messages that create a story to gain your trust. If it feels too good (or weird) to be true, it probably is.
Here’s what you can do
Let’s keep it simple — just remember:
STOP. CHALLENGE. REPORT.
🔴 STOP Before clicking, take a beat. Does the message seem off? Is the tone urgent or unexpected? Pause and check — especially if it’s asking for sensitive details.
🟡 CHALLENGE Ask yourself: Would my card issuer really ask for this over email or phone? Spoiler: we wouldn’t. Always challenge messages that feel wrong — even if they look right.
🟢 REPORT If you think you’ve shared info you shouldn’t have — even accidentally — tell us or your IT/security team right away. Quick action helps limit the damage.
What we’ll never ask you to share
We care about your security — which is why we’ll never ask you to provide:
🚫 Your full corporate card number 🚫 Your PIN or account password 🚫 A one-time passcode (OTP)
If you get a message asking for any of the above, it’s not from us.
Need to Check Something?
When in doubt, don’t reply — contact us directly through official channels. It’s always better to double-check than risk it.
Together, we can outsmart fraudsters and keep your company — and your card — protected.
