📇Transactions fees: Where to find how them how they're reflected in your books
Here's a quick, clear guide to help you find all the details, whether you're checking a card transaction, reviewing your accounting exports, or downloading monthly statements.
Where to find fees in Pemo
You can view fees in two main places:
Card Expenses Tab
Transactions Tab

Just click on any transaction, and you’ll see:
The amount the merchant charged in their currency
The converted amount in AED, using that day’s most competitive exchange rate
The combined amount of fees that are applied due to your transaction being an international transaction
To see the total amount that was deducted from your Wallet for that transaction (which is built up of point 2 and point 3), click on “Additional details”.

If you download data directly from the Transactions tab or Card Expenses tab, fees will not appear in that export. They will show in your Accounting Export tab, see below for more details.
How fees show up in your Accounting Export inside Pemo
If you’ve set up accounting with Pemo, your fees appear just as clearly in the Transactions tab of your Accounting Export workflow:
Hit the expansion arrow on the transaction—this reveals a separate line for each fee linked to that transaction.

Similar to the above click into a transaction to view the breakdown of fee's.
The amount the merchant charged in their local currency
The converted amount in AED, using that day’s most competitive exchange rate
To see the total amount that was deducted from your Wallet for that transaction and the breakdown of fee's, click on “Additional details”.

How fees are reflected in your accounting system after exporting
💡 Once you export a transaction to your accounting system, the transaction amount and accompanying fees will appear as a separate expense line. Each fee will show as a separate line as outlined below.
You’ll see a single line showing the transaction amount in AED, this amount is calculated using the days best exchange rate
One line for the cross border fee
And another line for the FX fee
By default the fee expense line will appear under the same expense account. For better reporting you can link a Fees Account and all card-related fees — like FX fees or ATM withdrawal charges — are automatically deducted from this account. While optional, adding this account helps ensure smoother, more accurate reconciliation.
