Simplify your accounting process with Pemo in three easy steps. Each step is designed to make managing your finances with Wafeq seamless and efficient:
1️⃣ Sync Pemo with Wafeq & Enable Pemo Copilot Connect your Pemo account to Wafeq to automatically sync your expenses, categories, and vendors. Let Pemo Copilot’s AI handle the heavy lifting of categorization for you.
2️⃣ Review and Finalize Your Expenses Use Pemo’s "Accounting Export" page to review and organize your expenses. Adjust Copilot’s categorizations as needed, mark expenses as ready, and take advantage of bulk actions to save time. Haven’t set up Copilot yet? No problem—you can do it here.
3️⃣ Export to Wafeq in One Click Once your expenses are reviewed and ready, export them directly to Wafeq with a single click. It’s fast, accurate, and hassle-free.
Let’s dive into each step to see how Pemo makes accounting with Wafeq effortless!
Head to " Accounting Export" from the left navigation menu, then select “Card Expenses”
From the dropdown list select "Wafeq", then click on "Get started”
You’ll be redirected to Wafeq Autorization page; here fill in your Wafeq account’s username and password
After you’ve logged in, you’ll be asked to allow access to Pemo. This permission lets us match your accounting fields and push expenses, which is essential to complete the integration.
After agreeing, Pemo will start syncing data from your account. Once the sync is complete, finalize the accounting setup by selecting the “Payment account.” This is the account within Wafeq where expenses made with your Pemo account will be synced and reflected.
Note the created bank account from Pemo will be in AED currency.
Once you've connected your accounting software to Pemo can activate Pemo Copilot, meaning your expenses will be auto categorized using AI.
After you've activated Copilot details like your Chart of Account, Vendor & VAT will be automatically categorized saving you time and ensuring accuracy.
Pemo’s "Accounting Export" page acts as your to-do list, displaying only settled expenses ready for review. Authorized but unsettled expenses won’t appear because their billing amounts might still change or bounce back.
Expense Statuses: Key Categories
Incomplete: Missing required accounting fields.
Complete: All required fields are filled.
Ready for Export: Expenses reviewed and confirmed by finance teams, ensuring you avoid duplicate work.
After you've activated Copilot details like your Chart of Account, Vendor & VAT will be automatically categorized saving you time and ensuring accurcay. You can also easily view and edit any fields that have been filled in by Pemo Copilot.
Bulk Actions for Efficiency
We’ve made it easy for accounting teams to categorize multiple expenses at once. Here’s how:
Categorize transactions in bulk, e.g., all transactions from a vendor like Careem
Select all expenses by clicking the arrow button and either mark completed expenses as "Ready for Export" or select edit to assign fields like Account, Vendor, VAT, etc.
Use bulk actions to edit and assign fields like Account, Vendor, VAT, etc.
If you didn't activate Pemo Copilot as part of your initial set-up you can do it at this stage too.
Get Contextual Information
For teams that prefer reviewing expenses individually, our streamlined workflow makes the process quick and efficient:
View essential details, like receipts and information, side by side.
Seamlessly switch between expenses without closing the detail page.
Once expenses are categorized and marked as ready, exporting them is effortless. After a successful export, the expenses disappear from the table but remain accessible in the History section as a CSV file.
How to Export Expenses
Mark your expense as ready and click the "Export" button on the right to export your expenses.
To find previously exported expenses, click the "History" button and download them in CSV format.
