Streamline your accounting workflow with Pemo by completing these three key stages. Each stage includes a set of steps to guide you through the process:
1ī¸âŖ Sync Pemo to Your Xero Account & Activate Pemo Copilot In this stage, you'll connect Pemo to Xero, ensuring your expenses, categories, and vendors are seamlessly synced and categorized using AI.
2ī¸âŖ Review Your Expenses and Mark Them as Ready Organize, review and mark your expenses as ready using Pemoâs "Accounting Export" page. Here, you can amend categorizations made by Copilot and utilize bulk actions to save you time. You can also set up Copilot at this stage if you didn't as part of the initial set-up.
3ī¸âŖ Export Expenses with One Click Once your expenses are categorized and reviewed, you can export them effortlessly to Xero, saving time and ensuring accuracy.
Letâs explore each stage and its steps in more detail!
Head to " Accounting Export" from the left navigation menu, then select âCard Expensesâ
From the dropdown list select "Xero", then click on "Get startedâ
Youâll be redirected to Xero Autorization page; here fill in your Xero accountâs username and password
Only users with Standard or Advisor roles in Xero can manage connections.
After youâve logged in, youâll be asked to allow access to Pemo. This permission lets us match your accounting fields and push expenses, which is essential to complete the integration.
If the account is linked to more than one company, you can pick the company at this step
After agreeing, Pemo will start syncing data from your account. Once the sync is complete, finalize the accounting setup by selecting the âPayment account.â This is the account within Xero where expenses made with your Pemo account will be synced and reflected.
If you haven't created a Payment Account dedicated to Pemo yet within Xero, you can create one directly in the same field. Just input the preferred name for the new Payment Account and select "Confirm." Weâve simplified the process, enabling you to set up the required account smoothly.
You can always change or create the payment account later if needed.
Youâre all set and your Pemo account is ready to be synched with your Xero account!
Once you've connected your accounting software to Pemo can activate Pemo Copilot, meaning your expenses will be auto categorized using AI.
After you've activated Copilot details like your Chart of Account, Vendor & VAT will be automatically categorized saving you time and ensuring accuracy.
Pemoâs "Accounting Export" page acts as your to-do list, displaying only settled expenses ready for review. Authorized but unsettled expenses wonât appear because their billing amounts might still change or bounce back.
Expense Statuses: Key Categories
Incomplete: Missing required accounting fields.
Complete: All required fields are filled.
Ready for Export: Expenses reviewed and confirmed by finance teams, ensuring you avoid duplicate work.
After you've activated Copilot details like your Chart of Account, Vendor & VAT will be automatically categorized saving you time and ensuring accurcay. You can also easily view and edit any fields that have been filled in by Pemo Copilot.
Bulk Actions for Efficiency
Weâve made it easy for accounting teams to categorize multiple expenses at once. Hereâs how:
Categorize transactions in bulk, e.g., all transactions from a vendor like Careem
Select all expenses by clicking the arrow button and either mark completed expenses as "Ready for Export" or select edit to assign fields like Account, Vendor, VAT, etc.
Use bulk actions to edit and assign fields like Account, Vendor, VAT, etc.
If you didn't activate Pemo Copilot as part of your initial set-up you can do it at this stage too.
