Every bill shows where its payment is, from authorization to the vendor's account. When a payment is complete, you can download its payment order as proof of payment.
Before you start
Who: the AP Clerk, an Admin or the POA.
Where: web or mobile app.
Find a payment
In the left sidebar, select More → Bills. Payments waiting for the POA, scheduled or on their way are in In authorization. Every bill is in All. The POA also sees them under Transfers.
What the payment status means
Authorized: the POA has released it.
Scheduled: waiting for its send date.
Processing: on its way to the vendor's bank.
Paid with Pemo: the vendor has been paid.
Failed: the payment didn't go through. The bill returns to To pay.
Rejected or Reversed: the payment didn't reach the vendor. Rejected means the bank refused the payment and the money never left the Business Account; Reversed means the payment left and was sent back by the receiving side. In both cases the bill is back in To pay (Approved) and can be paid again, and the AP Clerk who submitted it and the POA get a push, in-app and email notification.
⚠️ If the Business Account can't cover a scheduled bill payment on its send date, the payment isn't failed straight away. It stays scheduled and is tried again in the next daily run, up to three attempts in total, and the third failed attempt marks the payment failed. On the first hold the POA gets an email, in-app and push notice ('Transfer on hold, insufficient balance, we'll retry tomorrow') and the AP Clerk an email and in-app notice; the final failure notifies both.
To change or cancel a payment before it's sent, see Change, cancel or send back a bill payment. To see how a payment is authorized, see Authorize bill payments.
Download the payment order
Open a bill that's Paid with Pemo.
Select Payment order to download it. Its reference starts with PMO.
The vendor also gets a payment confirmation by email when they have an email saved in Pemo.
In your accounting
Approved bills appear under Accounting export → Bills, ready to export. Bill payments made with Pemo are exported to your accounting software with the bill.
