Approving a web login from your phone

Instead of typing a code, you can approve a web login from a trusted phone. Pemo shows a number on the web screen, and you enter that number in the Pemo app to let yourself in.

Before you start: You log in on the Pemo web app and approve in the Pemo mobile app. You need a trusted phone set up first. See How to add a trusted device and approve web logins from your phone. Biometric login must also be on for that phone. See How to enable biometrics.

Approving the login

  1. On the web login screen, after you enter your email, select Confirm on your phone under Log in. The screen shows Check your phone with an Approval code and the time remaining.

  2. Open the notification on your phone. It appears as Web login request, with the device, IP address and location of the request.

  3. Tap the number that matches the one on your web screen.

  4. Tap Verify it's you and confirm with your face or fingerprint.

The web screen shows Approved — taking you in… and signs you in.

If approval does not come through

  • Didn’t get approval in time means the request expired. Select Try again, or select Use password instead.

  • Login request denied means the request was declined on your phone. If that wasn’t you, select Reset password.

  • Approving a login needs biometrics on this device means biometric login is off on that phone. Turn it on, then try again.

  • This device's biometric settings were reset means you need to enable biometric login again before the phone can accept login requests.

  • This login request is no longer available means you should start the login again from your browser.
