Card expiry – what it means and what you should do

Updated today

Every Pemo card has an expiry date. When a card expires, it will eventually stop working and you’ll need to order a free replacement.

What happens before your card expires

  • We’ll notify you:

    • 2 months before your card expires.

    • Again when it expires.

  • You’ll receive:

    • Email alerts.

    • In-app notifications.

  • In your account, the card status will update to:

    • “Expiring” as it approaches expiry.

    • “Expired” once it’s no longer valid.

What you should do

  • Order a free replacement card ahead of time so there’s no disruption.

  • Update your card details anywhere it is saved, such as:

    • Subscriptions

    • Online tools

    • SaaS platforms

    • Any recurring payments

  • Keep an eye on the “Expiring” or “Expired” status so you know which cards need action.

Good to know

  • You can order a replacement for free, including delivery if it's a physical card.

  • When you replace an expiring card, a new card is issued with the same controls for the same cardholder.

  • You can change limits and rules on the new card anytime.

  • The current card will remain active for up to 30 days after expiry, unless you freeze or terminate it earlier.
