How to link Pemo to QuickBooks

Connecting Pemo to QuickBooks automatically syncs expenses, vendors, tax rates, and your chart of accounts. This reduces manual data entry.

Before you start

In Pemo, you need to be an Admin or Accountant. You can connect on web. In QuickBooks, you must be the primary admin or a Company admin: only they can connect apps in QuickBooks Online. A Standard user can't connect Pemo.

Have these ready:

  • Your QuickBooks login (with 2FA if enabled)

  • The correct company account if you manage multiple entities

  • A designated Payment Account in QuickBooks, or create one in Pemo during setup

You can decide how you will map the following items before connecting, but you cannot complete the mappings until setup:

  • Chart of accounts (expense categories)

  • Vendors / Contacts

  • VAT rates

  • Classes or locations (like cost centers or departments)

Connect Pemo to QuickBooks

  1. Log in to Pemo.

  2. Go to Accounting export → Connect accounting system.

  3. In the Pick your accounting system dropdown, select QuickBooks Online, then click Get started. You are handed off to the QuickBooks login page.

  4. Enter your QuickBooks credentials.

  5. If you manage multiple companies, select the correct organization.

  6. Review the permissions and click Allow Access.

  7. Select the Payment Account that represents your Pemo Wallet in QuickBooks. You can use a dedicated wallet or clearing account.

  8. If you don't have a suitable account, create one directly in Pemo during setup.

You can change your payment account later in Accounting Settings.

What syncs from QuickBooks?

After setup, Pemo automatically imports your chart of accounts, vendors or contacts, tax rates, and classes or locations such as cost centers and departments.

This lets you categorize expenses in Pemo using the same accounting data as QuickBooks.

Setup is now complete. You can export expenses to QuickBooks with one click, including receipts and audit logs. You can also reconcile your Pemo Wallet with its payment account in QuickBooks.

Troubleshooting

  • QuickBooks option missing? Contact the Pemo Support team to enable it.

  • Wrong company connected? Disconnect QuickBooks in Pemo, then reconnect the correct entity.

  • Need another payment account? Create one in Pemo during setup or later in QuickBooks under Chart of Accounts.
