Connecting Pemo to Xero syncs expenses, vendors, VAT rates, and your chart of accounts, so you do not have to enter the same data twice.
Before you start
In Pemo, you need to be an Admin or Accountant.
In Xero, you need Standard or Advisor access.
Have your Xero login ready, with 2FA if you have it enabled.
If you manage multiple organizations, know which company entity you want to connect.
Decide which Xero account will be your Payment Account, or create one during setup.
Decide how you will map your chart of accounts (expense categories), vendors or contacts, VAT rates, and tracking categories such as cost centers or departments between Pemo and Xero.
Connect Pemo to Xero
Log in to Pemo.
Go to Accounting export.
Click Connect accounting system.
In the Pick your accounting system dropdown, select Xero.
Click Get started.
Enter your credentials on the Xero login page.
If you manage multiple companies, select the correct organization.
Review the permissions and click Allow access.
Select the Payment Account that represents your Pemo Wallet in Xero.
The ledger created in Xero to represent the Pemo Wallet must have the Cash Account or Bank and Cash account type.
If you already have a suitable account in Xero, such as a dedicated wallet account, select it. Otherwise, you can create an account directly in Pemo. You can change or update your payment account later.
What syncs from Xero to Pemo
After setup, Pemo automatically imports your chart of accounts, vendors or contacts, VAT list, and tracking categories. These can include expenses, assets, liabilities, cost centers, and departments.
You can then categorize expenses in Pemo using the imported accounts, VAT, and vendor lists. You can also export expenses to Xero with one click, including receipts and audit logs, and reconcile your Pemo Wallet with your cash account in Xero.
