Understanding Documents Statuses in the Pemo Documents Inbox

Each receipt in the Pemo Document inbox has a status. Use it to track processing and see whether you need to take action.

Matched

Meaning: The document has been linked to an existing expense in Pemo.

Action required: None - the document is fully processed and recorded under the related expense.

Note: Matched documents disappear from your Document inbox 15 days after they're matched. They stay attached to the linked expense in Card expenses.

Unmatched

Meaning: The document couldn’t be automatically linked to an expense, often because details are missing or unclear.

Action required: Manually attach the receipt to the correct expense.

How to resolve: Open the receipt in the Document inbox, select the Your expenses tab, and search by date or using the search field.

Duplicate

Meaning: The system has identified the receipt as a potential duplicate of a previously uploaded document.

Action required: Review the document to confirm whether it’s a duplicate.

How to resolve: If it’s a duplicate, no further action is needed, and you can delete it. If not, mark it as not a duplicate and manually attach it to an expense.

File error

Meaning: The document couldn’t be processed because the file format is unsupported or the file is corrupt.

Action required: Re-upload the document in a supported file format.

How to resolve: Re-upload the document as a different file, for example a fresh PDF or photo of the receipt.
