Before you can send money from your Business Account, the person you're paying has to exist as an approved recipient. You add a recipient once, with their legal name, IBAN and bank details, and it stays available for every later transfer.
Important: Adding recipients and approving them are two separate permissions, granted through permission groups rather than attached to your base role. Someone with create access can register a recipient but cannot approve it; someone who also holds approval access approves their own entry as they save it, and it is payable straight away. Ask your Super Admin or Admin which permissions you hold. You can do this in the Pemo web app only.
You can add recipients one at a time, or several at once from a CSV file. Both start from Business Account → Send money → Recipients.
Adding one recipient
Go to Business Account → Send money → Recipients → Add recipient.
Enter the Nickname, the name you'll recognise this recipient by in the list.
Enter the Legal name, exactly as it appears on the bank account.
Enter the IBAN. A UAE IBAN has 23 characters and starts with AE. Pemo checks it with the bank and shows Verified, along with Account belongs to: and the bank details detected from the IBAN.
Fill in anything not detected: Bank name, Country, BIC / SWIFT, and the optional Bank address (optional) and Bank city (optional).
Select Verify and save, or Save recipient if you do not need to verify again.
You'll see Recipient added. If you hold approval access, the recipient is approved in the same step and shows Approved. If you don't, it shows Pending approval until someone with approval access confirms it.
Adding several recipients from a file
Go to Business Account → Send money → Recipients → Add recipients.
Upload your CSV file. CSV is the only accepted format; XLSX won't upload. The file can be up to 2 MB, with up to 200 rows not counting the header row. If your file is bigger, split it into smaller files. Use the columns Name, IBAN and Amount; a Reference column is also accepted.
Wait while Pemo checks the IBANs with the bank.
If you see recipients need your attention, select each flagged row and fix it. The reasons shown are Invalid IBAN, Could not verify the IBAN and Missing or invalid details. Use Remove from list for any row you don't want to add.
Select Add recipients to finish.
Pemo confirms how many recipients were added, and tells you if any could not be added so you can check the list.
Approving a recipient
Go to Business Account → Send money → Recipients.
Select a recipient showing Pending approval.
Select Verify and approve in the Approve recipient panel.
You'll see Recipient approved. and the status changes to Approved. A recipient can then be paid.
When a recipient is rejected as a duplicate
Pemo won't let two recipients hold the same identifying details. You may see:
This IBAN is already approved on another recipient.
This legal name is already approved on another recipient.
A recipient with this nickname already exists. Change the nickname and save again.
This recipient already has bank details waiting for approval. The entry exists; have it approved rather than adding it again.
