Editing the default reimbursement submission policy

On Premium and Enterprise, Pemo lets you edit the Default reimbursement policy to align with your company's expense submission requirements. You can't create additional custom reimbursement policies: only the default one exists for reimbursements. On Starter, an upgrade prompt is shown instead.

How to update the default reimbursement policy

Pemo includes a default policy for reimbursements. By default, it doesn't define any submission requirements. Admins can update this policy to set rules for spenders to follow as they submit reimbursements.

To update the default submission policy for reimbursement expenses:

Complete the accounting setup on Pemo before configuring your submission policy. This allows you to include accounting fields in the policy.

  1. Select Settings → Submission policies in the left sidebar.

  2. Select the Default reimbursement policy row in the table.

  3. Toggle the fields that the spender needs to complete.

  4. Optionally, specify an amount threshold above which certain fields are required.

Use 0 to make a field mandatory for all submissions, regardless of the expense amount.

Submitting a reimbursement

The policy is enforced when the spender submits a reimbursement. This ensures that the submission follows the specified rules.
