Get notified when your Pemo balance runs low

A low-balance alert tells you when a wallet's balance drops to an amount you choose, so you can top up before card payments start to decline. Each wallet has its own alert: your Main Wallet and every sub-wallet.

Before you start

  • Who: anyone with the main wallet visibility permission, which is on by default for Super Admins, Admins and Internal Accountants. For a sub-wallet's alert, you need the sub-wallet visibility permission.

  • Where: the Pemo web app or the mobile app.

  • Your company's KYB must be approved.

Set a low-balance alert on the web

  1. In the left sidebar, select Accounts, then View wallets.

  2. Select the wallet: your Main Wallet, or a sub-wallet under Sub wallets.

  3. Select ⋮ (Wallet actions), then Edit manual balance alerts.

  4. Enter the balance that should trigger the alert, in whole numbers up to 9,999,999.

  5. Choose who gets the alert: by role, by named member, or both. Only the Admin and Internal Accountant roles can be chosen as roles; any member can be added by name.

  6. Save.

Set a low-balance alert on mobile

Open the wallet, select its actions, then select low-balance alerts. The settings are the same as on the web.

What happens next

When the wallet's balance drops to the amount you set or below, everyone you chose gets a push notification, an in-app notification and an email. The alert goes out once each time the balance drops, not on every transaction. It is ready to go out again once the balance is back above the amount.

A new wallet starts with an alert at AED 1,000 that notifies the Admin and Internal Accountant roles. To top up, see How to top up your Pemo Wallet.

Turn off a low-balance alert

There is no on/off switch. To stop the alert, open Edit manual balance alerts, remove everyone from the recipient list, and save.
