Ruya Business Account - Cheque Collection Process (JMBR)

Our Pemo Business Account, provided by ruya, supports cheque deposits through ruya's courier partner, JMBR. You do not need to visit a branch. Log the request, JMBR collects the cheque from you, and it is delivered to the branch for clearing.

This article explains how cheque deposits work, what fees apply, and how to get in touch.

Where cheque deposits are supported

Can I deposit cheques into my Pemo account? Yes, into your Pemo Business Account, the UAE business bank account with its own IBAN provided by ruya. Cheque collection and post-dated cheque lodgements are both supported through ruya's courier partner, JMBR.

Can I deposit cheques into my Card Wallet? No. The Card Wallet, which funds your Pemo corporate cards, only accepts top-ups by online bank transfer. Cheques, cash, and ATM deposits are not permitted. If you receive a cheque and want to use those funds for card spend, deposit the cheque into your Business Account first, then transfer the amount to the Card Wallet inside the app.

How cheque collection works

  1. Contact the ruya help centre and request a cheque collection.

  2. The request is logged, and you are informed of the collection charge.

  3. JMBR, ruya's courier partner, contacts you to arrange the pickup location, date, and time.

  4. JMBR collects the cheque and delivers it to the branch, where it is uploaded for clearing.

Post-dated cheques (PDCs)

Post-dated cheques can be deposited through the same route. Instead of the standard collection request fee, a PDC lodgement fee applies per cheque. See the fees below.
