Before connecting Pemo with Xero, let’s make sure everything’s set up correctly.
1. Check user access
In Pemo
You’ll need to be an Admin or Accountant to set up and manage the integration.
In Odoo
You’ll need access with Accounting or Administrator rights.
You must be able to:
View and edit Chart of Accounts
Configure Taxes / VAT
View and manage Journal Entries
2. Gather your essentials
Make sure you have:
Your Odoo login (with 2FA if enabled).
The correct Odoo database / company if you manage multiple environments.
A Pemo payment account in Odoo (or a clear idea which account will represent the Pemo wallet).
The VAT input account you want Odoo to use for VAT lines.
These will be used when Pemo starts sending journal entries for:
Card expenses
Reimbursements
Wallet movements
Invoices
3. Decide your accounting structure
Pemo will export everything into Odoo as journal entries, so your structure in Odoo should be ready.
You’ll be mapping:
Chart of accounts
Expense accounts (e.g. Travel, SaaS, Marketing)
Wallet / bank account for Pemo wallet
VAT input account
Vendors / Contacts
Make sure common suppliers (e.g. Google, Slack, airlines) exist in Odoo.
VAT rates
Confirm VAT codes and how VAT input is handled in Odoo.
Pemo Power Tip:
Create a dedicated “Pemo Wallet” account in Odoo (under your bank/cash accounts). This makes it much easier to match journal entries from Pemo to your actual wallet balance.
