Connecting Pemo to QuickBooks helps you sync expenses, vendors, tax rates, and chart of accounts automatically — so you can spend less time on manual data entry and more time closing your books.
This guide walks you through the setup, step by step.
1. Check your access
Before you begin, make sure you have the right permissions:
In Pemo: You need to be an Admin or Accountant.
In QuickBooks: You need Admin access to connect integrations.
2. Start the connection in Pemo
Log in to Pemo.
Go to Accounting Export.
From the integration list, select QuickBooks.
3. Log into QuickBooks
Click Connect to QuickBooks in Pemo.
You’ll be redirected to the QuickBooks login page.

Reminder: Only users with Admin access in QuickBooks can authorize the connection.
4. Choose your payment account
Once QuickBooks is connected, select the Payment Account that represents your Pemo Wallet in QuickBooks.
If you already have a suitable account (e.g., a dedicated wallet or clearing account), select it.
If not, you can create a new account directly in Pemo during setup.
💡 Pemo Power Tip: You can always change or update your payment account later in your Accounting Settings.
5. Data sync from QuickBooks to Pemo
After setup, Pemo automatically imports key accounting data from QuickBooks:
Chart of Accounts (e.g., expenses, assets, liabilities)
Vendors / Contacts
Tax rates
Classes or tracking categories (e.g., cost centers, departments)
This ensures your expense categorization in Pemo matches what’s already in QuickBooks.
6. You’re ready to go
Setup is complete! From now on, you can:
Categorize expenses in Pemo using imported accounts, vendors, and tax lists.
Export expenses to QuickBooks with one click — complete with receipts and audit logs.
