Understanding Wallet Forecast

For team members

Wallet Forecast is a Pemo AI feature that looks ahead at your company’s upcoming card payments and spend patterns to let you know early on if the company wallet might run low. This article explains what you’ll see, what it means, and what to do when a warning appears.

What is Wallet Forecast?

Your Pemo card is funded by your company’s shared wallet. Wallet Forecast uses Pemo AI to predict your upcoming payments and check whether the wallet has enough to cover them in the days ahead.

If everything is on track, you don’t need to do anything. If the wallet is likely to fall short, Wallet Forecast tells you in advance, so a payment doesn’t get declined by surprise.

Why it matters to you

Because your card draws from the company wallet, a low balance can affect your payments, even if you didn’t cause it. Wallet Forecast gives you a heads-up while there’s still time to act, so your card keeps working when you need it.

Where you’ll see it

Wallet Forecast appears in a few places, so you don’t have to go looking for it:

  • On your Home page: a Wallet Forecast card shows your current status and, when relevant, which payments are at risk. Select Predicted payments to see the full list.

  • At the top of the screen: a short alert appears when payments need attention.

  • In your notifications: you may receive a push notification, an email, or an in-app notification when the forecast changes.

Understanding the alerts

Wallet Forecast uses color to show how urgent things are:

  • 🟢 Green -> You’re covered. The wallet can cover your predicted payments. No action needed.

  • 🟠 Orange -> Heads up. The wallet may run low in the next few days. A good moment to give your admin a nudge.

  • 🔴 Red -> Action needed. One or more of your payments may be declined as soon as tomorrow. Let your admin know right away.

What to do when you see a warning

Only admins can add funds to the company wallet, so your role is to flag it early:

  1. Open the Wallet Forecast card on your Home page.

  2. Select Predicted payments to see which payments are at risk and when.

  3. Notify your admin so they can top up the wallet in time.

That’s it, once your admin tops up, you’re set.

After your admin tops up

When the wallet is topped up, Wallet Forecast refreshes automatically. You’ll see a confirmation that the wallet has been topped up, and your card is ready to use again.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

Can I top up the company wallet myself?
No, only admins can add funds. If you see a warning, the fastest fix is to notify your admin.

How often does the forecast update?
It refreshes regularly, and again right after the wallet is topped up, so what you see stays current.

Why did I get an alert if I’m not an admin?
Because your card is funded by the shared wallet, a low balance can affect your payments. The alert gives you time to ask your admin to act before anything is declined.

A payment was flagged but went through fine, why?
Wallet Forecast is a prediction based on your upcoming activity. It errs on the side of warning you early, so some flagged payments will still go through.
