Receipt Chaser

What Receipt Chaser does

Receipt Chaser is an autonomous feature of Pemo’s Capture Agent. It reminds cardholders to attach missing receipts and fix out-of-policy expenses on their own, so your finance team never has to send another reminder.

Chasing receipts is one of the most repetitive jobs at month-end. Receipt Chaser takes it off your team’s plate. It sends reminders automatically and warns cardholders before a card is frozen, keeping records complete without anyone policing them by hand.

How it works

Receipt Chaser reminds cardholders through two kinds of notification.

The first is a scheduled weekly notification. It reaches cardholders who have missing receipts or out-of-policy expenses and prompts them to put things right.

The second is a pre-block warning. When a card is at risk of being frozen by your submission policy, Receipt Chaser warns the cardholder first, so the block, which is handled by Compliance Officer, is never a surprise.

The feature is autonomous, so these reminders go out on their own with no work from your finance team.

Setting it up

Receipt Chaser works alongside your submission policy and the requirements you have set for receipts and fields. Once those are in place, reminders are sent automatically.

What your team sees

Cardholders receive a weekly reminder listing what they still owe, such as a missing receipt or an out-of-policy expense. If a card is close to being frozen, they also get a warning ahead of the block. Your finance team sends none of these by hand.

The metric you’ll see

Reminders sent shows how many automatic reminders went out to cardholders. It combines the scheduled weekly out-of-policy notifications and the pre-block warnings sent before a card is frozen. Like every Pemo AI agent metric, it covers the previous 30 days at the organization level.

Before any reminder has been sent, you will see this line instead of a number: “We’ll remind your team about missing receipts and out-of-policy expenses, so you never have to chase.”

At the Capture Agent level, you will also see Documents processed, the total number of documents brought in across every capture channel: direct upload, WhatsApp, and the document inbox.

FAQ

How often are reminders sent?
Weekly for missing receipts and out-of-policy expenses, plus a warning whenever a card is about to be frozen. [Pemo to confirm: whether the weekly cadence can be changed]

Who receives the reminders?
The cardholder responsible for the receipt or expense, not your finance team.

How is this different from Compliance Officer?
Receipt Chaser sends the reminders and the warning. Compliance Officer is what actually blocks and unblocks the card. They work together: the warning comes first, the block second.

Which channels are reminders sent through?[Pemo to confirm: notification channels, for example in-app, push, or email]

What time period does the metric cover?
The previous 30 days, across your whole organization.
