Why is my top-up not reflected? (Holiday delays)

Updated over a week ago

If you top up during a public holiday, your funds will not show in your Pemo Wallet until the next UAE banking working day.

This happens because banks pause or slow processing during holidays.

To avoid delays, plan ahead and top up before 12pm (UAE time) on the working day before the holiday starts.

We’ll also send reminders ahead of each holiday, so you’re not caught off guard.

What’s happening

Top-ups rely on bank processing cycles. During public holidays, bank clearing is delayed, even if your transfer has already left your bank.

That means:

  • Your bank may show the transfer as sent, but your Pemo Wallet balance won’t update yet.

  • Your top-up will be processed the next UAE banking working day, once banks resume.

Holiday periods when top-ups will be delayed (2026)

Top-ups will be delayed during these periods and processed the next UAE banking working day:

  • New Year’s Day: Thu, Jan 1 – Sun, Jan 4, 2026

  • Eid al-Fitr (predicted): Fri, Mar 20 – Mon, Mar 23, 2026

  • Arafat Day + Eid al-Adha (predicted): Tue, May 26 – Sun, May 31, 2026

  • Hijri New Year (expected): Fri, Jul 17 – Sun, Jul 19, 2026

  • Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday: Date TBC (subject to official confirmation)

  • Commemoration Day + UAE National Day (expected): Mon, Nov 30 – Wed, Dec 2, 2026

Note: Some holidays depend on moon sightings and official announcements, so dates can shift.

What to expect

  • Top-ups made during the dates above will be show in your Pemo Waller after banks reopen.

  • Your balance will update on the next UAE banking working day.

  • If you need funds during the holiday, top up before 12pm the day before.
