How to make manual adjustments to a cash balance

You may need to manually adjust a spender’s cash balance, for example when an employee has used personal funds that Pemo didn’t track, or has already been reimbursed outside Pemo, such as through payroll.

Before you start: you need the Super Admin, Admin or Accountant role. You make adjustments on the web.

Here’s how to make the adjustment:

  1. Select More in the left sidebar, then select Cash balance, then select the Members' cash balances tab.

  2. Select the spender, then select Adjust cash balance.

  3. Choose an option and enter the amount:

    • Add to balance: the spender used personal funds that Pemo didn’t track. Their balance goes up, so they are owed more.

    • Reduce balance: the amount was already settled outside Pemo, for example reimbursed through payroll. Their balance goes down, so they are owed less.

  4. Add a comment explaining the reason for the adjustment, then select Save. The comment is required.

The manual adjustment is now reflected in the spender’s cash balance. It shows only in Pemo and doesn't sync with your connected accounting system.
